Surya grahan or Solar eclipse

Basically the solar eclipse occurse when the moon is come on between the sun and the earth the light of sun doesn’t reflect on earth so we can not see the sun properly this is called solar eclipse or surya grahan.

After Diwali, India and other parts of the world will witness a partial Solar Eclipse or Surya Grahan on October 25th.

A Surya Grahan or a partial Solar Eclipse will take place on October 25, a day after the festival of lights. It will be visible in the western Asia, the North Indian Ocean, as well as across Europe, the Middle East, North-eastern parts of Africa, and the North Atlantic Ocean. Except for a few states in the northeast, most parts of India will be able to witness the phenomenon.The beginning, maximum point, and end are the phases where a partial Solar Eclipse can be seen. The eclipse will begin in Iceland at 02:29 pm IST and will end over the Arabian Sea at 06:20:56 pm IST, according to the news agency. The maximum time for it to be seen is at 4:30 pm (IST) in Russia. The sun will rise and set simultaneously in India during the Solar Eclipse. The total eclipse will start at 05:30 pm.

The partial solar eclipse will be visible in almost all of India, including New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Varanasi.

Surya Grahan time and visible place

The sun will be setting in India in approximately one hour and 45 minutes. It will be visible for the longest in Gujarat’s Dwarka and for the shortest in West Bengal’s Kolkata for only 12 minutes. The Surya Grahan can be seen in many other cities, including New Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Jaipur, Mumbai, Bangalore, Udaipur, and Silvasa.

The Sutak is predicted to start at 03:21 am and end at 05:42 pm according to Drik Panchang. It is usually observed around 12 hours before the Surya Grahan. The Panchang mentioned Sutak for the sick and kids, as well as for old people. SuTAK is considered to be an inauspicious time before Surya Grahan according to Hindu traditions.

  • Kanyakumari – 5.32 pm
